Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to join our team in Divundu. The HR Manager will play a pivotal role in implementing our HR strategy, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, and ensuring compliance with relevant labour laws and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruitment and Selection: Oversee the recruitment process to attract candidates from designated groups, ensuring diversity and inclusion.

• Training and Development: Design and implement training and development programmes to enhance employee skills and support career growth. Ensure training initiatives align with the company’s goals and the needs of the workforce.

• Performance Management: Develop and manage performance appraisal systems. Provide guidance to managers and employees on performance-related issues.

• Affirmative Action Plan Implementation: Implement and monitor the company’s Affirmative Action Plan, setting and achieving numerical goals to promote the representation of designated groups within the workforce.

• Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee concerns, mediate disputes, and promote a harmonious and productive workplace.

• Compensation and Benefits: Manage payroll, compensation packages, and employee benefits. Conduct regular reviews to ensure competitiveness and fairness.

• Compliance and Work Visas & Permits: Ensure adherence to employment laws and company policies, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of HR regulations and ensuring all visas and permits are applied for and kept up to date.

• Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on HR metrics, including recruitment, turnover, training, and affirmative action progress.

• Health and Safety: Oversee workplace health and safety programmes, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in HR Management.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

• Proven experience in implementing Affirmative Action Plans and promoting diversity in the workplace.

• Strong knowledge of Namibian employment laws.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office and HR software.
