Namibia Berries recently welcomed Dr Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, the Vice President of the Republic of Namibia, to the farm in Divundu. Dr Nandi-Ndaitwah visited Namibia Berries as part of a Familiarisation Visit to the Green Scheme Projects and Agriculture Projects in Kavango East. Michael Rodenburg, Namibia Berries CEO, discussed key aspects of the project with Dr Nandi-Ndaitwah, including the company’s ESG initiatives and major drivers for success.

A key element of Namibia Berries’ commitment to community development and upliftment is through general agricultural and socio-economic training. The training programme is critical to the empowerment of the local community by developing skills, stimulating entrepreneurship and creating job opportunities.  

The government's recognition of the company’s contribution to the diversification of Namibia's agricultural exports strengthens the team’s resolve to continue growing and expanding operations. This collaboration is expected to spur economic growth, create jobs, and enhance food security within the country.
